Automotive technical data provider Autodata has added a new ‘motorcycle API’ to its developer portal.
Using TIBCO Mashery API management software, the Autodata API tool offers developers a range of automotive and motorcycle data.
Autodata’s workshop application is an online data tool for automotive workshops and technicians to help carry out services, maintenance, repairs and diagnostics to vehicles. The API might typically receive as many as 1.5 million successful API calls in a single month.
The firm provides over 550,000 procedures for more than 40,000 vehicle models: from 155 manufacturers, including cars, vans, and motorcycles.
The motorcycle API allows developers to access and manipulate relevant data, such as lubricants and capacities, tightening torques, tyre pressures, repair times, diagnostic trouble codes, as well as technical specifications and an estimate calculator.
Developers can easily access, select, and combine any Autodata vehicle service APIs, from repair times and replacement procedures to vehicle identification, service schedules, diagnostics, and much more.
Autodata’s APIs are designed to automatically update all technical data. Therefore, there is no need for developers to reintegrate with the Autodata API each time an API is updated. This structure also enables the Autodata API to continuously and efficiently evolve, reflecting the invariable evolution of the automotive industry.
