Just one critical security patch from Microsoft next Tuesday

Antony Savvas

It is a quiet Patch Tuesday next week with Microsoft only distributing one "critical" security patch and one "important" fix on 13 November.

Redmond says there will be one critical patch to address vulnerabilities in the Windows client and server operating system as part of its monthly patching cycle.

The important patch will also fix a problem in the Windows client and server OS.

A critical vulnerability means a remote attacker can potentially target vulnerable systems without any user interaction.
