Antony Savvas

The PREM hotel group is offering guests free Wi-Fi services via the free-hotspot.com platform.

As a result, guests at PREM's 20 hotels in Ireland, the UK and Belgium will avoid the expensive Wi-Fi charges currently levied by other hotel groups - which can cost between £10 and £15 a day.

PREM Group operates a variety of hotel brands, including Days Hotel, Ramada, Golden Tulip, and Tulip Inn.

"Free internet access in hotels is a growing trend throughout the European markets in which we operate," said Jim Murphy, managing director of the PREM Group.

"The free-hotspot.com solution allows us to meet the demands of our guests for free Wi-Fi in a way that makes economic sense," he said.

McDonald's restaurants in Belgium has signed up for the same Wi-Fi service to give customers free web access.

To get free access, users agree to watch ads before connecting.
