Some developing regions will achieve one in five money service users over the next two years, said Howard Wilcox, senior analyst at Juniper Research.
Juniper also predict international mobile money transfer users will more than double by 2013, driven by migrant workers.
Speaking to Wilcox, he said, while there is no direct correlation between developing countries and the UK market, the report shows that mobile commerce is continuing to grow rapidly, as is the importance of mobile transactions in retail situations.
