The finalists for the LocalGovernment IT Excellence Awardshave
been announced.
Derbyshire County Council,
London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, and North Lanarkshire
Council all made the final group.
Derbyshire has uploaded 65,000 historic images of the town to
the web, Hammersmith implemented a customer access strategy, and
North Lanarkshire gave mobile technology to health workers.
The awards are organised by Intellect, Socitm and Solace, and
the overall winner will be announced at the Socitm conference in
Belfast this month.

enabling residents to view and use them for research. Hammersmith
has implemented a customer access strategy, using data it gathered
on residents to learn more about them. North Lanarkshire has given
mobile technology to health workers, enabling them to fill out
assessment forms on site in a client's home or on a hospital
ward.
