The British Film Institute has signed up HP to provide the technology behind a new centre to give digital public access to more of the collection held in the BFI National Archive.

A cornerstone of the project is the new Mediatheque at BFI Southbank in London, for which HP will supply the technology to give visitors access to hundreds - and eventually thousands - of rarely seen films and TV programmes, such as Hancock's Half Hour.
