Xerox and legal and financial services software supplier
1stLegal are partnering on a content management offering that will
help companies speed government- or court-mandated filings made
necessary by tighter regulations.
Under the deal, 1stLegal will combine its software applications
with Xerox's large scalability to provide advanced imaging and
intelligent coding software to help organisations quickly retain,
search and locate millions of documents as needed.
The partnership will benefit Fortune 1,000 companies that might
be involved in major litigation cases involving the government, and
the services can help provide the needed digital records in less
than 24 hours.
Without the new services, pulling together the information could
take weeks.
Mack McCormick, vice president of document, content and imaging
at Xerox Global Services, said the partnership would allow
companies to improve their response time to regulatory and
litigation requirements facing all industries.
"The end result allows organisations to digitise business
critical documents and enhance the usability of the converted
information," he said.
