IBM outlines business intelligence strategy with Cognos takeover

IBM has revealed an array of joint IBM-Cognos products and services, including new business intelligence products.

IBM has revealed an array of joint IBM-Cognos products and services, including new business intelligence products.

These products are designed to enable firms of all sizes to gain better insights from their data, improve decision-making, and optimise business performance, said IBM.

They include 10 new IBM products for banking, retail, healthcare, government, life sciences and manufacturing.

In addition, there are six pre-integrated IBM-Cognos product offerings that enable companies to use business intelligence to improve overall business performance.

Expanded Information on Demand infrastructure services will also help clients to "plan, design and deploy a resilient enterprise data, storage and content management environment", IBM said.
