Construction and demolition company KDC Contractors has implemented electronic document management software to improve the speed and accuracy of processing financial documents.

KDC has integrated the Invu S200 software with its Oracle-based Easy Build enterprise resource planning application from Saphire to tackle the finance department's problem of handling large volumes of documents.

The Invu software has eliminated the need to move invoices around the country to authorise payments.

"Not only did it mean staff were forced to source duplicates of missing documents from suppliers, but also that we were taking an unacceptably long time to deal with customer queries," said Sue Lueck, finance manager at KDC.

The Invu system enables the company to scan documents so that they can be viewed at any office around the country. They system has also solved KDC's problem of finding storage for all the paper documents.
