Aircraft landing gear systems company Messier-Dowty plans to maximise staff contributions to the business by using an online annual review system from UK-based Jobpartners.

Jobpartners'ActivePerformerpersonal development plan is available on the company intranet to Messier-Dowty employees in the UK, France, China, Canada and the US.

"We want to ensure our people develop a team spirit and independence, while reinforcing involvement and motivation through an effective development-review programme," said Claude Mathieu, vice-president of human resources at Messier-Dowty.

The process involved implementing a single human-resources process at seven sites in five countries and then taking that process online to provide a consolidated view across the company.

Messier-Dowty chose Jobpartners' ActivePerformer tool because of its ease of use, its ability to manage the whole employee appraisal programme, and the fact that it could be deployed online.

"In Jobpartners we have found more than a software supplier, we have found a real partner," said Joseph Noone, organisation and people development manager at Messier-Dowty.
