The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has extended a call centre contract to administer the Winter Fuel Payments Service in a £6m deal.
Teleperformance has won a three year contract extension to handle the calls and process claim forms to assist people with their winter fuel bills.
Teleperformance has designed a bespoke software solution and infrastructure to integrate with DWP’s in-house payment centre, which allows real time sharing of data allowing a high volume of claims to be verified and processed.
Thea Quinn, winter fuel planning and implementation manager at the DWP, said, “The role Teleperformance plays in the processing and verification of over 300,000 applications and the fulfilment of 700,000 packs annually is vital.”
