The European Commission has signed a contract with the consortium of Equant and Hewlett-Packard to replace several EU data communication infrastructures.
The €210m deal will see the consortium provide networking and telecoms infrastructure to sTESTA, the European Union's classified telecommunication network.
The sTESTA framework contract will allow European and national administrations to exchange data within several policy areas in a secure and reliable way, the commission said.
