Online insurance firm swiftcover.com has installed Prophet e-business intelligence software from speed-trap to improve its website.
Prophet records the details of website visitors’ actions and experience, giving users insight into the quality of service they are delivering to customers.
Swiftcover.com finance director Steve Hardy said, “We offer a fast and simple solution to people looking for competitive car and travel insurance over the internet, so it is imperative that our website is intuitive and totally user friendly.”
Prophet would give the firm e-business management information from across its website, including traffic data and transaction monitoring, and generate reports such as home page click maps, he added.
“This means that, together with our in house management information processes, we will have all the information we need as, when and how we want it, resulting in the most efficient and accurate management of our online business.”
A BCS study in September revealed that about 35% of the public now shops online, with nearly a fifth of these choosing online retailers in preference to high street shops. The figures showed that 39% of those who had bought online had purchased insurance.
