Leisure group Whitbread is to reallocate its 140 head office IT staff between a new business division and a shared IT services operation covering its remaining brands.
The restructuring will be announced when the group, which owns pubs, Premier Travel Inn, Costa Coffee and Pizza Hut, publishes its financial results on 25 October.
The new division will run Whitbread’s pub, restaurant and hotel brands, with the shared services operation providing systems and support to the group’s remaining operations.
The company has an IT contract with Computer Science Corporation to replace and then run its legacy systems with Oracle 11i applications, which runs until 2010. Whitbread also runs systems from Alphamerics and Ramesys.
