New cost-effective teamwork, collaboration and contact management software for small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) has been launched by SMB software specialist Softalk.
OfficeTalk 4.5 has been designed specifically for organisations with five to 500 users who need to share business information and work more effectively as a team.
The package combines shared calendars, contacts, email, tasks, planners and project management in one package, which also includes integrated email server with anti-virus and anti-spam protection. The system is being pitched against big office automation tools such as Microsoft Outlook.
The program's group mode and meeting mode are said to simplify internal administration by enabling users to set up meetings and manage all shared resources such as meeting rooms, digital projectors and exhibition stands.
The contact management mode provides single company records with separate records for each contact linked to it. This means that any team member (with permission) can view all related information for either a company or a contact in one place.
OfficeTalk 4.5 starts at £345 for five users or £4,495 for a 50=user licence.
