Smart Global has launched a range of services designed to mobilise SMEs.

The new services are subscription-based, so customers have no back-office installation or IT integration to perform. Instead, software is delivered direct to users’ mobiles, enabling them to access a range of desktop applications on the move.

Services such as mobile instant messaging, real-time business and market information, calendar, contacts and tasks synchronisation, e-mail access and navigation solutions are all included as well as more complex workforce, sales and time management applications.

Delivered in partnership with network operator O2, the services are designed to provide low-cost, high-function mobile technology that will make mobile business operations a reality for SMEs.

“By hosting and managing all applications centrally, and enabling self-service provisioning, we are removing the huge fixed costs and back-office and set-up commitment that has until now made it prohibitive for smaller businesses to set up key staff for mobile working,” said Guy Rosenhoiz, Smart Global’s CEO.

“The impact on a business’s bottom line in terms of efficiency and effectiveness of mobilising the workforce is undeniable,” he added.
