King's College London has selected WebCT Vista to expand its existing online learning capabilities institute-wide.
The WebCT Vista academic enterprise system (AES) is centrally administered to provide scalable electronic learning. Beginning in the 1990s, e-learning was used in varying ways throughout different departments, but there was no common approach for the entire
university.

But recognising the increasing strategic importance of e-learning, King's established an e-learning committee. The committee decided it was important for the college to unify its e-learning, and chose WebCT Vista.
Professor Jeremy Ward, chair of the Kings e-learning committee said, “WebCT Vista was selected because of its range of enterprise functions, including administration and customisation capabilities, and its ability to interface with other college systems.”
