Most IT managers claim that there have been no risks to their company's business integrity in the last year because of security breaches.

However, respondents to this week's Computer Weekly/Harvey Nash Big Question acknowledged the importance of good security - an issue highlighted by the problems faced by Barclays bank this week.

Although he reported no threat to business integrity, one ITdirector said, "I do agree that security represents our biggest problem."

Others explained how problems had been caused by staff. "We have had a potentially serious internal security problem associated with silly behaviour by a member of staff, but no external successful security threats," said one respondent.
