Google has acquired Like.com, the shopping site that allows users to search for accessories.

Google has acquired Like.com, the shopping site that allows users to search for accessories.

In a post on the Like.com's website, company founder Munjal Shah said, "We see joining Google as a way to super-size our vision and supercharge our passion. This is something we are truly excited about."

Google said the company will be working with its commerce team. "While Like.com will operate its websites separately in the near term, we're excited about the technology it has built and the domain expertise it will bring to Google as we continue to work on building great e-commerce experiences for our users, advertisers and partners," it said in a statement.

Recently Google purchased the social media website Slide for $182m and virtual currency firm Jambool for an undisclosed some.
