G4S signs Barclaycard IT chief Martin Taylor to fill new CIO role

G4S has appointed former Barclaycard IT chief Martin Taylor to its recently created CIO role.

G4S has operations in over 120 countries with over 620,000 employees. 


Taylor will be responsible for developing and implementing the organisation’s IT strategy, as well as establishing global standards for infrastructure and applications, and globalising the IT organisation and investment.

Taylor’s previous experience includes CIO positions at EMI Music, Cable and Wireless and LCH Clearnet. His most recent position was at Barclaycard, where he completed a major transformational project.

Himanshu Raja, G4S group chief financial officer, said: “We are delighted that Martin is joining us in this new role to lead this change. 

"He brings with him a wealth of relevant IT experience at a senior level and this knowledge will be of great value to the team during what is an exciting time for our IT organisation.”
