Thanet District Council and disability charity Treloar Trust report substantial time savings with financial management systems (FMS) software from COA Solutions.
Treloar said a planning and budgeting system would shorten its budgeting process by up to a month a year while increasing financial transparency and offering tighter control of costs.
COA said the system, which stores data centrally, enables the creation and real-time monitoring of financial plans, budgets and forecasts.
Thanet council has reported saving 12 hours a week with COA's invoice data capture solution. Previously it entered 17,500 invoices a year manually.
The software automatically captures and verifies data from scanned invoices, highlighting discrepancies before data is uploaded to the system.
Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust said it made cost savings after changing service providers from McKesson to COA Solutions last year.
Jim Clough, systems and project accountant at the Trust, said there has been no change to the users' experience.
The data was transferred both electronically and physically to COA's centre in Bridgewater, he said.
"After a few hiccups we got the system up and running over a weekend before going live," Clough said.
