Rorie Devine, chief technology officer of online betting firm Betfair, is leaving the company, reports CIO magazine.

The move is described by Betfair as "mutual", says CIO, and that Devine will be working out a notice period.

Devine joined Betfair in 2004. He previously worked at financial institutions and Reuters.

Betfair told CIO that it has hired a head hunting agency to find a replacement for Devine.

Devine heads a 300-strong IT team at Betfair.
