Greggs manages its dough with Coda finance system

Greggs has gone live with a new efficient finance system.

The bakery chain is now using the Neon system from Coda to support the accounts of 1,400 shops across the UK.

The Coda software replaces 10 regional finance system deployments previously in place and has enabled the company to move to a centralised shared service accounting model.

The financials, purchasing, invoice matching and billing software is integrated with Greggs' merchandising and EPoS systems to further automate accounting processes, and to ensure longer term efficiencies whilst enabling the production of both divisional and group accounts more effectively.

"This is a major milestone in our finance modernisation programme and it has enabled us to move from a quarterly reporting cycle to reporting monthly, with the ability to analyse more detailed information from each outlet relating to monthly profitability," said Lee Massingham, finance systems manager at Greggs.
