Friends Provident uses online system to ease IFA sign-ups

Friends Provident has introduced a system to enable independent financial advisers (IFAs) to set up an agency agreement online.

Friends Provident has introduced a system to enable independent financial advisers (IFAs) to set up an agency agreement online.

The secure electronic application process makes it easier for IFAs to apply for an agency trading agreement and eliminates unnecessary paperwork.

The system also provides an online acknowledgement of the application and allows the intermediary to print off the completed application form and commission schedule.

The traditional paper route is still available, with all the relevant forms being available to download and print from the Friends Provident website.

Dave Mace, head of eBusiness at Friends Provident, said, "Previously, the process for setting up a new agency account required the IFA to obtain a paper agency application form from a Friends Provident consultant, manually complete it and send it in to us.

"The new process makes it much more efficient and reflects our commitment to using e-business for the mutual benefit of IFAs and Friends Provident."
