Fujitsu is to sell Novell’s SuSE Linux Enterprise Server solution on both its high-end Primequest and Primergy server lines.
Kiyoshi Sensui, Fujitsu general manager for the Linux software development division, said, “This agreement reinforces our commitment to providing customers with high-value solutions on a Linux platform. With Novell, we will deliver advanced Linux solutions to customers on a global basis.”
Fujitsu already offered support for SuSE Linux Enterprise Server on its Primergy servers in Europe, but has now extended the arrangement to both its main high-end server ranges.
Fujitsu said its Linux expansion was in response to a greater demand for Linux in mission-critical enterprise environments. Novell said the agreement would help it move its Linux solution into more demanding datacentre environments.
