Security supplier Qualys is offering companies a free network scanning service online
The company is offering protection against the top 20 vulnerabilities reported by global security research organisation The Sans Institute.
Earlier this week the Sans Institute published a list of the 600 most critical vulnerabilities currently faced by internet users.
Gerhard Eschelbeck, Qualys's chief technology officer, said, “The Sans Top 20 list is a widely recognised benchmark for identifying the most critical security vulnerabilities.
By submitting your personal information, you agree that TechTarget and its partners may contact you regarding relevant content, products and special offers.
“Threats are evolving at a much faster rate, necessitating regular updates to the list to ensure organisations have the most current information possible on critical security vulnerabilities.”
As well as providing a free scan, Qualys has updated its Qualysguard vulnerability management platform to detect the Sans Top 20. Its on-demand model provides customers with immediate vulnerability updates, such as the Top 20 listing, without the need for installing software or building additional infrastructure.
