The European Commission has cleared Hewlett-Packard to buy UK IT services provider Synstar.

The European Commission has cleared Hewlett-Packard to buy UK IT services provider Synstar.

The purchase will not significantly alter HP's share of the IT market, and customers will continue to benefit from sufficient choice in the sector, it said.

Synstar offers business continuity, data management, networking and multi-vendor support services with operations in Belgium, France, Spain, Germany, Luxembourg, Ireland and the Netherlands.
