NetIQ to release beta Appmanager platform

Cliff Saran
Security management systems supplier NetIQ has introduced a beta version of its Appmanager 6.0 platform.

NetIQ said Appmanager 6.0 has been designed to manage service delivery for demanding and dynamic internal business customers.
According to the supplier, it includes functions for assessing core capabilities, defining service level agreements and creating and managing operational monitoring policies, as well as reviewing compliance.

NetIQ said Appmanager 6.0 also gives administrators the ability to manage complex and distributed environments from a single console and to provide automated responses to degradations in service that could potentially affect business operations.

Supported platforms include Windows, Unix and Linux operating systems and applications.

New to this version is support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS 3.0, Enterprise Linux ES 3.0 and an update to the Appmanager module for IBM MQ Series.

The full product is due out by June 2004.
