Bank outsources risk management to CWB

Deutsche Bank AG London and CWB Systems Services have signed a £10m outsourcing contract. The three-year deal will see 25 Deutsche staff transfer to CWB as the services group takes over management of the bank's UK-based credit risk management IT department. CWB will provide support and development of applications, development of the intranet and Web site and Lotus Notes support.

Energis to route DIY voice and data traffic

Energis has been called in by home improvement retailer Wickes to provide voice and data services. The contract, worth £1.5m over three years, will link all Wickes' retail stores, warehouses and head office. The retailer will retain its existing phone numbers and will route all voice and data traffic across the Energis network.

University renews lucrative Centreprise contract

Liverpool John Moores University has renewed its framework contract with Centreprise International, the custom PC manufacturer. The £3m contract will run for three years. Over the past six years, Centreprise has supplied more than 3,000 PCs together with support to the university.

Systems Team tailors Scottish housing system

Barony Housing Association is settling in with an integrated housing and financial system from Systems Team. The group spent just over £100,000 on the QL Housing software which is specifically tailored for the needs of Scottish housing - including factoring, SCORE and joint and several tenancies. The system will run over six locations with an initial 25 users and will be used to monitor and revise performance management targets.

IT supplier signs up Agresso financials package

Sherwood International, a supplier of IT to the insurance industry worldwide, has signed up Agresso in a £226,000 deal. The contract is for Agresso's financials, project costing and billing, purchasing and sales order modules to run across a wide area network from the UK to the US. The system will go live in December. Sherwood also plans to use Agresso's e-commerce package Business World when it is launched this summer.

Bluestone delivers personalised B2B services

S2 Systems will be integrating Bluestone Software's e-business platform with its enterprise applications in a long-term, global licensing deal worth several thousand pounds. S2 Systems will use Bluestone's Total-e-Business to dynamically deliver personalised content for real-time business-to-business and business-to-consumer applications and services.

SunSystems helps virtual pet store to plan ahead

Virtual pet store petsonthebrain.com has bought a financial accounting and business management system from Foundation Systems. The £100,000 contract will see petsonthebrain.com using SunSystems' Systems Union software.

Synstar earns five-year police support contract

Synstar International has struck an outsourcing deal with Sussex Police worth £200,000 a year over a five-year period. The services group will provide hardware maintenance and IT support, including support for the 'Crime Information System' and 'All-In-One' office and e-mail system. It will cover desktops and laptops as well as several Compaq Alpha midrange servers in the main police room in Lewes.

Esteem manages information for Leeds students

Esteem Computers will be providing computers for a new student information management system at the University of Leeds under a £320,000 deal. Esteem is supplying several Sun Microsystems servers, including two high-performance Raid storage arrays with failover back-up software. The SCT application software, which is being purchased separately, will provide information to students, staff and administrators.
