Compellent to make "major investment" in Australia

Compellent plans to expand its Australian operations.

Just a week after Isilon signalled its intention to open in Australia, fellow mid-sized storage player Compellent has also signalled that it plans a more substantial local presence.

Marketing company Markom today announced it has been appointed to support Compellent in Australia, and said in an email that the company " ... will shortly announce a major investment in Australia to grow sales."

The email added that "Existing resellers such as Regal-IT and XSI have already sold to many sites here. Look for an announcement and briefing late in August."
