Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank (APGVB), a bank sponsored by the State Bank of India, has selected IBM's hardware platform to run its mission-critical core banking application. APGVB has chosen to implement IBM's System x servers across its 530 branches.

IBM's business partner SS Computer Shoppe, created a solution for APGVB by including the IBM System x 3200 server solution with a dual core Intel Xeon server. The solution has been designed as an entry-level server for the bank's network infrastructure applications. It's claimed to ensure server reliability which facilitates transaction time for business operations during peak trading hours.
