Bookmaker Paddy Power plans to implement a system to manage its retail operations across the UK and Ireland to generate yearly savings of up to 7%.
The gambling firm aims to centrally manage staffing rotas for full-time employees and contractors with the application, which can also be integrated with the firm's accounts system.
By automating processes, Paddy Power is expected to generate reductions both in cost and time spent handling payroll-related tasks.
"Once you see [the system] in action it makes you wonder why no one built this product before. It is going to enable us to run much smoother operations and the social responsibility reporting ensures an efficient way of way of complying with the Gambling Commission, where we are required to collate a report from every shop, every day, as well as market share and manager reporting modules," said Ed Brown, UK retail operations manager at Paddy Power.
"This kind of in-depth functionally and reporting on the shops progress will create a powerful management tool to help drive our top line," said Brown.
In terms of pricing, the system provided by Piri Shopworks is offered on a per shop, per week basis.
