
Microsofthas announced the retirement
of business division head Jeff Raikes, who will leave the company
this September.
Microsoft said Raikes, 49, would remain until September to help
ensure a smooth transition for his successor.
Redmond has announced Raikes will be replaced by
Juniper Networks chief operating officer Stephen Elop, a
Canadian aged 43.
Elop was formerly president of worldwide field operations at
Adobe and CEO at Macromedia. Adobe took over Macromedia.
Elop will become president of the Microsoft Business Division at
the end of this month, and will be shadowed by Raikes until
September.
