Collaborating with Government

Are Government Departments still resistant to change and sluggish at making innovative ideas a reality? Our public officials are under pressure to be accountable to their constituents by engaging them during all stages of government decisions.

Until recently, stakeholder consultations involved public forums, private meetings, and mail and email correspondence. Today the public are demanding change and want blogs, wikis, and other online tools to help them collaborate with government faster and simpler.

With the dull hand of government understanding on the use of IT all to evident in the recent email debacle the jury is still out as to whether politicians and the public sector are up to the mark.
