IT suppliers are taking greater responsibility for the delivery and implementation of IT, and increasingly IT supplier relationship management is a vital skill for IT managers to possess. Procurement and purchasing, sourcing, contract law and negotiation skills are required, as is understanding of key frameworks such as ITIL.
