Oracle databases to gain MatchPoint technology
Oracle is to incorporate newly acquired search and analytical capabilities into its database products.
Oracle has purchased MatchPoint technology from TripleHop Technologies for an undisclosed sum. MatchPoint combines semantic and statistical analysis to improve user enquiries. The solution also puts the information into context.

Existing TripleHop MatchPoint users would continue to be supported, said Oracle.
Oracle said a full roadmap covering how it would incorporate MatchPoint into its products would be issued in the near future.
