It’s been a while since my last blog posting here. A change in jobs, location, and family status all within the space of a few weeks meant that something had to give. With my life now reaching some state of normality again I’m pleased to report that Computer Weekly have allowed me to re-open my blog!
I have taken on a new role as Information Security Director with one of the world’s largest events and exhibitions organisations. It’s been an exciting first few months that has included visiting some of our offices across the globe and experiencing at first hand the challenges of governing security in a large and culturally diverse business. My focus has shifted somewhat from my previous role where I was primarily managing risk associated with eProducts. Here I’m looking at risk across all aspects of the organisation and putting in place a framework to protect data assets whether that be through technology, people or process based controls. It’s a great job and I’m enjoying being part of a dynamic and forward thinking organisation.
So, back to business and I’ll be aiming to update this blog three or four times a week.
