LSUK, a leading UK autoparts supplier, is improving its supply chain with a new distribution system from Infor.

LSUK expects the new 250-user system across 53 branches to pay for itself within 18 months.

LSUK has deployed Infor Distribution Essentials after replacing its 17-year-old trade counter, workshop and back-office IT system.

Kelvin Williams, CEO of LSUK, said a key benefit of Infor Distribution Essentials is vehicle registration mark look-up in order entry and service management. Other benefits included cross network visibility of stock and "rich purchasing functionality to buy smarter to increase margins".

"Based on our return-on-investment calculations, we established that the solution's surplus stock functionality would enable us to cover the majority of the investment within 18 months of using it. Other significant business improvements for LSUK will be gained from on-line customer service, which means we can help our customers 24 hours a day," said Williams.
