South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Authority has implemented a performance management system from Performancesoft.
The fire service has adopted the Actuate Performancesoft Suite to support its performance and programme management initiatives.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Authority operates 23 fire stations and has just under 900 fire-fighters.
Using the functionality of the Actuate Performancesoft Suite, which includes the Views and Track functions, the fire service says it will be able to define the key metrics critical to the success of its organisation and provide complete visibility into organisational strategy and execution.

Steve Swarbrick, South Yorkshire deputy chief fire officer, said, “South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Authority is evolving to improve public safety and meet the ever changing demands of a modern fire service.
“The Actuate Performancesoft Suite offers the tools we need to manage that change, identifying areas that require improvement as well as those in which we are excelling in as a service,” he said.
