Orange increases zest for SMB arena

Following hot on the heels of setting up a specialist web portal for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs), Orange is now offering the same audience a fixed line service.

Following hot on the heels of setting up a specialist web portal for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs), Orange is now offering the same audience a fixed line service.

Claimed by the mobile operator as the first from a supplier of its nature, the Orange Landline for Business package offers a single bill for line rental and call charges; a single point of contact for fixed and mobile customer support; no minimum call charge and per-second billing; retention of existing landline number; discounted rates between Orange fixed and mobile numbers; and 10% discount on calls to Business Circle numbers.

“We are simplifying communications for our SME customers," says Alastair MacLeod, vice-president of business solutions at Orange UK.

"By bringing together mobile and fixed services, total spending for the customer will be reduced and, by working with just one supplier, the supply chain and service support models will be simplified."
