Sunbelt System Software has released ServerVision 1.1 to make it easier for SMEs to monitor their server configurations.

Sunbelt System Software has released ServerVision 1.1 to make it easier for SMEs to monitor their server configurations.

The new version includes the ability to group systems being monitored, the facility to apply performance monitoring policies, new connectivity options and support for external databases.

ServerVision can now store captured performance data and operating system events (from event logs) into an Access or SQL external relational database. The data can then be queried using any third-party tool.

The new groups feature is a way to organise all the servers within an enterprise. Individual servers can be manually included in one or more groups or automatically enrolled on the basis of user-definable criteria.

ServerVision 1.1 includes a number of predefined performance monitoring policies that can be applied to one or more computers.
