People working in IT to support health care are being invited to keep up to date and get involved with others through the BCS specialist groups in this field.

The call has come as the government works on its ambitious plans for IT in health care - plans that the BCS is constantly monitoring and commenting on.

"Many BCS members and non-members working at all levels in health or as suppliers of products or services in this area take part in the eight BCS health specialist groups in this field and in other initiatives," said Jean Roberts, who chairs the BCS health policy taskforce.
