The two companies will expand programmes that train Andersen consultants on BEA's WebLogic E-Business Platform, a software tool from the company's extensive WebLogic suite that assists enterprise implementations of various Web services.
The WebLogic E-Business Platform's components include WebLogic Server, WebLogic Personalisation Server and WebLogic Integration software for linking the operations of online trading partners.
"[Our partnership with BEA] is just our way of letting our clients know that we have people trained on these products," said Andersen spokeswoman Mary Hall.
WebLogic competes against IBM's WebSphere and Oracle's database and e-business software. Andersen also has a partnership with IBM. Hall said that Andersen consultants will choose which products to recommend based on clients' needs.
