Sony Optiarc Europe is
launching a high-end DVD burner which delivers a 24x burning
rate.
The Sony offering could address high-speed data storage
needs.
The AD-7240S is able to write at the 24x speed using Sony's Auto
Strategy Technology. The Auto Strategy Technology reads a section
of the media in advance during DVD burning, enabling the writing
head to be optimally adjusted.
In addition to this system, an Adaptive Self Tuning feature
allows the drive to automatically adapt to each disc and hardware
environment for every burning process, to cope with quality
fluctuations.
