Apple's
iPhone dominates the mobile browsing market, according to the
latest figures published by web analytics firm
Net Applications.
The firm said iPhone's has "a commanding lead" with a 66.6%
market share compared with second place Java ME's 9% and Windows
Mobile's 6.91%.
Google's
Android and
BlackBerry are rapidly gaining market share, according to Net
Application's figures.
"This does not mean that iPhone web browsing is shrinking,
because the overall market is growing rapidly," Net Applications
said.
Adroid, released in October 2008, is already level-pegging with
Symbian in fourth position with a 6.15% market share, followed by
Palm with 2.37% and BlackBerry with 2.24%.
