IronPort has launched an upgrade to its outbound e-mail filtering system to help users meet regulatory compliance requirements.

IronPort has launched an upgrade to its outbound e-mail filtering system to help users meet regulatory compliance requirements.

The new version of IronPort’s Compliance Filters includes a set of pre-packaged compliance policies to ensure that outbound e-mails do not breach regulations such as the US Financial Modernisation Act or the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

The filters use a pattern-matching algorithm that is designed reduce the unnecessary blocking of messages that touch on matters that are covered by the regulations but do not actually break them.

The system allows IT managers to manage all content security policies through a single dashboard and generate reports. It includes encryption and can be used to instantly track messages for compliance audits.
