Here’s a little something for 29 February, just in case you need to check the validity of that marriage proposal.
Korean mobile network operator KTE is offering subscribers a “love detector” service that will analyse your lover’s call to see if they are being sincere.
Costing about 80p a month or 25p per call, users who converse via video conferences can see a “love meter” bar on the screen of their handset during a conversation, reports Reuters. They later receive an analysis of the conversation via text message that breaks down the amount of affection, surprise, concentration and honesty of the other speaker.
Downtime is keen to find government spokesmen willing to help with an English language experiment with the technology. Please form an orderly queue at Sutton station next Thursday.
