Virgin Media will match the cheesiest show on TV, X Factor, with its own kind of cheese when the new face of VM’s broadband campaign, the cheese-loving cartoon mouse Speedy Gonzales, makes his debut on Saturday.
To kick off the ad campaign, VM commissioned food artist Prudence Staite to make a cheese sculpture, which was unveiled in Covent Garden on Friday. Apparently the 110kg sculpture took eight days to make from 10 local types of cheese.
That should make the Cumbrian dairy farmers happy. But not as happy as Virgin getting some fibre backhaul into Eden Valley communities, I’ll bet.
