Oracle and EDS join forces on application management

Antony Savvas

At the Oracle OpenWorld conference this week, Oracle and EDS will announce they are combining their application management and software transition services into a single customer solution.

The combined solution will integrate the pair’s best practices and methodologies for moving legacy applications to newer platforms, such as Java J2EE environments.

Oracle is a specialist in application management and EDS is established in software transition services.

The deal means customers now have the chance to deal with the two companies jointly instead of separately for their projects.

Customers considering adopting Oracle’s Project Fusion platform, which integrates Oracle’s various solutions following its acquisition of PeopleSoft and other companies, will be offered joint services from the pair.
