Ariba opens up supplier network to more buyers

Users of enterprise resource planning software from SAP, Oracle and other companies are now able to connect their systems to the Ariba supplier network.

Ariba, the developer of procurement management software, has released the Supplier Connectivity Adapter to allow users to connect to the buying network without having to use Ariba’s buyer platform.

A larger number of buyers can therefore now link to the supplier network, which supports 120,000 suppliers from over 100 countries.

Users wanting to take advantage of the adapter still have to buy a supplier connectivity program from Ariba.

The move by Ariba to open up its network to more users is designed to tackle the company’s falling software sales figures.
